Our Policies

General Policies

More details on preschool policies and guidelines will be provided upon registration and in the handbook provided at orientation.
  1. A general calendar will be available at orientation in early September and distributed the first week of classes. Lakeridge Preschool follows the Saskatoon Public School Elementary School Calendar for holiday days, professional development days and statutory holidays. Other special days will be identified in the monthly newsletter.

  2. Children must be toilet trained (fully trained, no pull ups or diapers, able to tell an adult when they need to use the washroom).

  3. Parents or designate need to be at the school when the children are dismissed. No child will be dismissed unaccompanied. Only the parents or the parents’ designate (an adult of age 18+) be will permitted to pick up the child. Please make sure that anyone who will be picking up your child is listed on the back of your emergency contact card, and/or has been previously identified to your child’s teacher. If you are late to pick up your child, your emergency contacts will be called.

  4. Each child should bring a small water bottle with them to class. Due to allergies, all snacks must be nut free. This includes snacks that may contain traces of nuts. See our Resources page for healthy suggestions.

Registration, Refunds & Withdrawals

  1. Registration fee must be paid to Registrar in order to confirm your child’s enrollment. E-transfer or cheques are accepted as payment. A levy of $40.00 will be charged on any NSF cheques.

  2. For notice of withdrawal received on or before August 15, the first and last month's tuition will be refunded. Registration fees are NOT refundable at any time.

  3. Written notice to the Registrar is required by the 15th of the month prior to withdrawal for the following month’s tuition to be refunded.

  4. If a child has difficulty adjusting to preschool, the parents may be asked to help the child make a satisfactory adjustment by staying with him/her. If this does not help, the Board of Directors reserves the right to ask for withdrawal. The May tuition will be refunded.
